Time: Gallery Hours Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 6pm and Sunday 12 - 5pm

Location: 211 East First Street Sanford, FL 32771

Description: Adam Farrington hails from New Orleans and is part owner of Farrington-Smith Gallery. His partner is Scott Smith, Director of Design for the House of Blues. As you might imagine, this will be one of our edgier shows. Adam paints and welds steel into images of the Big Easy - pre and post Katrina. Described as one of New Orleans' most exciting young artists, Farrington creates intricate sculptures that combine dichotomous objects in a first glance whimsical manner. Upon closer investigation, Farrington's creations often speak to urban sprawl and decay. Influenced early on by artists such as Alexander Calder, his work has been exhibited widely in New Orleans and New York City. Farrington has received commissions by SONY and the House of Blues and his work is in numerous private collections. This will be Farrington's Florida debut.
