at the crossroads of art & music
No time in recent history has the importance of art and music been so palpable. With that in mind, Jeanine Taylor Folk Art is proud to announce a show centric to that exact intersection. At the Crossroads of Art & Music opens Saturday, March 20th from 6-8pm and will run until April 17th. Join us for a gathering of art and music lovers alike. View art made especially with this sentiment in mind: creation happens at the crossroads.
Featured artists include internationally acclaimed wood carver and music lover, LaVon Williams Jr. He has created a special breadth of carvings revolved around the uplifting perpetuity of song despite the limitation of systemic bondage. Lucy Hunnicutt adds an element of vibrant southern gospel to the show with her mixed media collage paintings on wood panels. Another take on relief carving in the form of block prints depicting titans of the music world by Florida based artist, Kreg Yingst, will be unveiled. Fauve musings with a punk spirit painted in reverse on reclaimed antique windowpanes by Jon Napoles will also make their debut.
Masks are required at all times. Occupancy will be limited to ensure social distancing. If you are sick or have been in contact with someone who is sick, please stay home.
