Create Your Own Creature Workshop *Holiday Edition* with Melissa Menzer

Melissa Menzer is back at Jeanine Taylor Folk Art with another Create Your Own Creature Workshop but this time the class takes on a special holiday theme! Which holiday? The choice is yours! This workshop is designed to allow students the creative freedom to pick their own subject matter while being provided group and one on one guidance. All supplies are included, and guests will have full access to Melissa’s abundant antique trinket collection to incorporate in their sculptures.

Each participant will be provided a unique vintage base for their hand sculpted head to adorn. There will be a break in the middle of the day for lunch. Guests can bring their own lunch from home or dine out at one of the many restaurants in walking distance from the gallery. Students will finish the class with a completed project and the knowledge to continue creating at home!

Melissa’s antique assemblages rose to acclaim several years ago at the Mennello Museum of American Art in Orlando. She is the daughter of antique dealers from the Washington DC area and has worked in the business throughout her life, owning several booths in antique malls throughout central Florida.
