We're Three Weeks Away From Folk Art Under the Big Top!

We’re perched at the start of a new season with a lot to look forward to on the horizon! Join us for a blockbuster show, Folk Art Under the Big Top opening at the end of this month on September 27th from 6-8pm. Our circus themed soiree will feature special guests Rick Kilby, Trent Manning, Melissa Menzer, and LaVon Williams live in person! In addition, expect a fabulous circus banner by Butch Anthony, big top themed work by Michael Banks, and a collection of authentic antique circus banners by Fred Johnson, Johnny Meah, and Jack Sigler.
Circus attire encouraged but not required...
Autumn Season Kickoff
The following weekend marks the start of our autumn season with the 4th Annual Hotchkiss Fall Open House on October 4th from 11am-2pm. This is a wonderful chance to explore our latest seasonal offerings, sip on a midday cocktail, and savor fall-inspired bites. We are thrilled to host this event with our neighbors, Magpies Modern General, and our sister gallery, Gallery on First.
A History of the Circus & Folk Art
We round off this hat trick of exciting weekends with a very special presentation by Jennifer Lemmer Posey, the Tibbals Curator of Circus at The Ringling, on Saturday, October 11th, from 1-2pm. Jennifer will travel from Sarasota, deep in the heart of circus country, to present A History of the Circus and Folk Art; a slideshow and talk that combines her years of experience as circus curator with her passion for Southern folk art.
